Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT), headquartered in Brookings, South Dakota, has been chosen by the Green Bay Packers to enhance the fan experience at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The company will manufacture and install two main video displays, two auxiliary video displays, and sixty concourse LED displays. This significant upgrade, totaling approximately 24,500 square feet of LED displays with 79.5 million pixels, is set to debut in the spring of 2023, just in time for the upcoming football season.

Kregg Shilbauer, Director of Digital, Broadcast & Game Presentation for the Green Bay Packers, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re pleased to work with Daktronics on our new video boards and Lambeau Field concourse displays, which will enhance the game-day experience.” The new scoreboards will feature 6mm LED video technology, making them the first and only ones of their kind in the NFL. Shilbauer emphasized that the Packers aim to set a new standard in video board clarity and image quality.

The main end zone displays, measuring over 10,500 square feet each, will boast 6-millimeter pixel spacing, the highest resolution in professional football, baseball, and soccer. These displays, standing at 48 feet high and nearly 220 feet wide, will be among the few 4K displays in professional football, featuring HDR capabilities and robust environmental protection to withstand Green Bay’s weather.

Reece Kurtenbach, CEO and President of Daktronics, highlighted the visual impact of the displays, stating, “The vibrant imagery these displays provide will take an already exciting football venue to the next level of fan entertainment. We’re honored to add to the storied tradition of Lambeau Field.”

The east and west auxiliary scoreboard displays will also feature 6-millimeter pixel spacing and measure more than 7 feet high by 74.5 feet wide, providing comprehensive scoring and statistical information for fans.

Daktronics Regional Manager Tony Mulder expressed pride in the company’s continued collaboration with the Packers, saying, “We couldn’t be happier partnering with the Packers organization and such a legendary stadium on those centerpieces once again.”

In addition to the main displays, Lambeau Field will feature 60 concourse displays with 2.9-millimeter pixel spacing, strategically placed to engage fans throughout the stadium. These displays will showcase live game feeds, concessions and pro shop promotions, live data updates, and other special messaging to enhance the overall fan experience.
