PPDS Unveils Revolutionary ‘Zero-Power’ Philips Tableaux Displays: A Game-Changer in Sustainable Signage Technology缩略图

Each display is capable of delivering 24/7 vivid content, while running entirely unplugged and without using a single kilowatt of electricity.

PPDS, the global exclusive provider of Philips professional displays and solutions, is thrilled to announce the launch of a revolutionary range of full-size, full-color “zero-power” Philips Tableaux Advanced Color ePaper (ACeP) signage displays. These displays are capable of delivering vivid content 24/7, operating entirely unplugged, and consuming zero electricity.

This groundbreaking addition to PPDS’s evolving professional displays portfolio, which includes digital signage, interactive displays, and direct-view LED, introduces a new product category. The Philips Tableaux displays are the world’s first 60,000-color (including blue) ePaper signage solutions from a leading display manufacturer.

In line with PPDS’s commitment to sustainability, these Tableaux displays offer exciting opportunities for cost and energy savings across various sectors, such as retail, corporate, hospitality, public spaces, and transportation.

Pushing the boundaries of possibilities, the displays are available in 25-inch 16:9 and 28-inch 32:9 stretched variants at launch. Ideal for businesses looking to digitize their paper-based signage, the Tableaux displays showcase store opening hours, timetables, menus, promotions, and offers. They are also a perfect replacement for current digital models that may exceed day-to-day requirements, incurring unnecessary running costs.

Designed for any environment, even those with limited power sources, the Tableaux displays can showcase content without being plugged in or using any power. Lightweight and easily movable, they only require electricity when updating content and revert to zero power upon completion.

Content updates can be managed manually or remotely using PPDS’s in-house or third-party professional display control and management platforms. The Tableaux Series will soon be compatible with the PPDS Wave cloud-based fleet management platform designed exclusively for Philips professional displays.

PPDS has already received significant interest and orders globally, spanning retail, corporate, hospitality, food and beverage, public spaces, transportation, and healthcare sectors. Following a successful pre-launch at the Global Access: Future Tech showcase, further display sizes will be added in the coming months.

Martijn van der Woude, VP Global Marketing and Business Development at PPDS, emphasized, “With the Philips Tableaux Series, businesses can achieve their aims and ambitions at a fraction of the running cost, bringing immediate savings for themselves and for the environment.”

PPDS’s commitment to sustainability remains a top priority, addressing energy costs and supporting businesses in achieving their environmental goals. Franck Racape, VP Global Commercial at PPDS, noted, “The Tableaux Series is the perfect, complementary solution to our wider range of incredible Philips professional displays, providing customers with a full portfolio of choice and opportunity to fit their everyday—and extraordinary—needs.”
